Product Details
Dianhong, officially known as Yunnan Black Tea, was born in 1939. It was successfully trial-produced by tea expert Feng Shaoqiu using local large-leaf tea in Fengqing, Yunnan. The first batch of products, sold to London via Hong Kong, became famous overnight. It is primarily produced in the high mountain and valley areas along the Lancang River in Yunnan, such as Lincang, Fengqing, Baoshan, and Xishuangbanna. These areas have high altitudes, abundant clouds and fog, and fertile soil, providing unique natural conditions for the growth of tea trees. Dianhong tea has a plump and tight dry tea strip, with golden hairs visible. After brewing, the tea soup is red and bright, often with a "golden ring". The aroma is fresh and long-lasting, with floral and fruity scents as well as honey sweetness. The taste is strong, fresh, and stimulating, with a highly recognizable mouthfeel. In 2014, the production techniques of Dianhong tea were listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list, and its quality and value have also been widely recognized.
